Family
IntroductionThere is a strong conflict between wanting to be seen as special and the family and society. They often question the existing hierarchy as they see it as too limiting and strict. But that means that they get rejected, are seen as troublemakers and treated as the scapegoat. They feel like an outcast, the one that is left out, pushed out of the family, out of society. The theme of the whistle blower is prominent. They are very sensitive and perceive what is wrong in the family. They talk about the things that are unjust and hidden and then get ostracised for it. As a messenger they get killed.
They can be misunderstood in their family or village because they have a broader perspective, have studied or are an artist. They can be like a lawyer, doctor or priest in a farming family, who does not feel at home anymore in the limited world view of their family.
Inequalities between man and women, due to religion and culture, have a violent character. This can be in the form of beating and humiliating women. It can take the form of mutilation in the form of clitorectomy, breast and uterus operations. Or it can be an honour revenge.
They have the delusion there is something wrong with them or that relatives think so and that makes them feeling an outsider although on the other hand they feel very connected.
FamilyThey have severe problems with the family. There are often secrets and hidden problems. Their father might be not the biological father, due to adultery by their mother. There can be financial problems, like debts that are never paid off or legacies and inheritances that are cheated with. The family can have a history of being the outcasts in society, like gypsies. All this can lead to a lot of confusion as things are not openly talked about. They have the feeling that they do not know where they stand, what their rights are. But they also feel cheated, abused as they have the feeling that things have not been done right.
MarriageThis pattern gets repeated in their marriage. They feel abused, taken advantage of. They are irritable and angry and that leads to more quarrels.
GuiltThey have marked feelings of guilt. They feel they have not done their duty to the arts, family and society. They are often blamed for what has gone wrong, even when this is not the case. They are used as a scapegoat. It is a strange situation that they give a lot and yet others still expect them to give more and take more from them. They give but it seems never enough.
AngerThey are easily irritated and can express their anger openly. They can easily fly into a rage when they feel rejected or abused. This is even more the case as they are in principle sweet and have good intentions. But they feel they cannot trust others because they have been lied to and cheated all the time. They feel indignant, wronged, maltreated, sometimes even tortured. They cannot understand how civilised people can behave like this, how civilisation and torture can go together. They feel like a ridiculed child.
Their anger can aggravate the situation. Then others will even more see them as difficult, irritable, having a big mouth, discontented, irrational and crazy.
GnawingThe basic sensation is that of gnawing. They feel that people and situations eat at them. They feel sucked empty, robbed, as if everything has been taken away from them.
