Plant theory 2Galipeoideae is split of from
Rutaceae. All 4 subfamilies of
Rutaceae are placed in the order
Rutales in
Phase 4.
Galipeoideae is placed in
Subphase 5. Angostura and Ptelea have strong aspects of
Phase 5.
Plant theory 1Galipeoideae was placed in
Phase 4 of
Sapindales, in
Subphase 1 together with all
Rutaceae.
TaxonomyGalipeoideae is a new clade in
Rutaceae. In the past
Rutaceae was split in the subfamilies: Aurantoideae,
Toddalioideae, Rutoideae and the smaller
Spathelioideae, Flindersonioideae and Dystiolomatoideae. Of these only Aurantoideae stood up the phylogenetic tests.
Galipeoideae is a new clade discovered in the studies of Morton.
