Apg3 classification. It includes the
Chenopodiaceae.
In the
Plant theory Achatocarpaceae is grouped together with
Amaranthaceae to form
Amaranthales. Both
Amaranthaceae and the old
Chenopodiaceae are split in several subfamilies. Tentatively the following division in
