Habitat: tropical and subtropical; prefers moist, well-drained, shaded environments, tropical rainforests and moist; often growing as an epiphyte on tree trunks or on the forest floor in humid conditions.
Ecology: maintain moisture levels; provides microhabitats for various small organisms.
Use: ornamental, for its graceful, slender fronds.
