Essence: letting go of creativity.Letting go of art
They have to let go of any preconceived idea or theory. Any thought of being famous,of being praised and appreciated is now totally out of the question. Any sense of pride must be got rid of. It is the theme of Job who had to let go of his possessions, who lost his wife and children and who still retained his faith in God.
Letting go of ideas: forgetfulThey let go of their thoughts and therefore become very forgetful. They are so busy with other things, there are so many thoughts going through their mind that they can’t keep track of them. The only way of coping is by writing everything down on little bits of paper. But even so there are still many things that they simply forget.
Holding on to ideas: obsessiveThe fear of forgetting something also makes them quite obsessive. They have to remember, so they are constantly repeating to themselves: ’mustn’t forget to do this, mustn't forget to do that’. This obsessive way of thinking may filter through to their activities: ‘must check whether I have locked the door’, and again and again. These thoughts control their mind to such an extent that they are unable to develop any other interests.
Letting go of ideas: humourThey have a great sense of humour and they tend to make fun of their own and other people’s ideas. They love to tease others and tell jokes and generally clown around. This humour is a sort of self defence, it makes others unsure of their own position. But it also makes themselves unsure of what they were really wanting to do or say or create.
They don’t like being teased by others.
Without idealsEvery thought and every idea is only relative as far as they are concerned. Until they eventually reach the point where nothing has any meaning anymore. There is nothing left than can spark of any enthusiasm. They may even become quite immoral or turn into a criminal, nothing matters anymore.
Condemned because of your ideasThey have the feeling that they are being condemned for their ideas and opinions. Their ideals or their religion might be the reason that they are put in prison or banned from their country.
Banned from your region: right of existenceThey have to leave the area where they grew up and had build up an existence. This may be due to war or famine or some other disaster that threatens their existence. The theme of famine is particularly important in their life. They tend to have the feeling that there isn’t enough to eat and that they’ll die of hunger. Making sure that they get their daily bread is very important to them.
Escaping from your region: emigrationA typical theme in this remedy is emigration, leaving your country of birth. They are the refugees, driven away from home and hearth. They have fled because there was nothing left in their area, no harvest, no food, no work. Or they had to flee because of their religious convictions that were not tolerated anymore. Or they had lost their whole family already and there was no reason to stay any longer, so they might as well go in search of the promised land.
Banned from your area: refugeesThere is a constant underlying feeling of having to flee, which makes them very restless. It is like the feeling of the Jews, always on the run. This restlessness expresses itself in a constant desire to work and be busy. They are active, excited, hasty and impulsive. They think, speak and act quickly. The restlessness is also a result of the urge to build up an existence wherever they go. Always on the lookout for some food, something to live on. This situation may arise after the loss of family or the loss land that belonged to the family. After the war, or after the floods and the loss of their family they no longer feel at home on their own land and go in search of a better existence elsewhere.
Fear of letting go of your cultureBut they are also afraid of cutting all the ties. This is expressed in a fear of infinity, a fear of endless open spaces, a fear of the sea where the horizon is so far away. They are afraid of letting go of their own culture, their own base, because they have no idea where and how they will end up.
