MineralogyFeitknechtite is member of the diaspore group and is trimorphous with manganite and
Groutite. It forms lustrous black crystals in the orthorhombic system.
It occurs in weathered banded iron formations, metamorphosed manganese ore bodies and hydrothermal ore environments.
