A 66-year-old woman, with the physical build of a teenager, exudes contentment, and is calm and patient but very alert and understanding, like a spectator who already knows the scenario. Her complaint is a sun allergy. "I crave the sun," but in good weather, she gets a rash on her chest, upper arms, back, and shoulders. She finds it very upsetting as she is a sun lover. It also appears when she works in the garden, causing itchy bumps, and it looks terrible! Every time the sun comes out, she gets a rash, and it lasts for about a week. Fifteen years ago, it started on her chest, and ten years ago, it began to worsen. It started around the time her daughter went through a divorce, which had an "impact" on her, causing her sadness and pain. Her face shows her deep involvement. She has spots on the back of her hand from a severe sunburn she once had without realizing it until large blisters appeared. She spends a lot of time with her grandchildren, and also in the vegetable garden, and she is still on call in horticulture; it’s a nice group of people, being busy all day, and she feels appreciated there. She is glad to be free of responsibility. She also volunteers in a food forest, wants to start working out, loves reading, cycling, singing, bird-watching, and reading books on medicine and energy, she finds it all very interesting. "There's still so much information!" In the past, she struggled with back and knee issues; she has walked a lot for sports. She’s aware of how well she’s doing now and rarely has other complaints. Her husband is retired and does nothing; she, on the other hand, wants to lead her own life. She gets up early, preferring to spend the whole day in the vegetable garden. Doing a bit of everything, organic gardening, after her brother recommended it she was immediately "hooked."
AnalysisClass
Remedy code: 3: family is central to her life, including children, grandchildren, and her involvement. She enjoys her work because it's a nice group with pleasant colleagues. Here, the skin aspect fits, as it could be called an allergy, but the problem area is the subdermis. These three aspects are characteristic of the Silica series, analogous to Class
Remedy code: 3.
Phase 5: she is enthusiastic, always seeking "more, more," there is so much to learn and do, she likes being busy and has many contacts (a trait we know from Phosphorus).
Phase 1: spontaneity, sudden enthusiasm, fully immersing herself in the unity of family (similar to the Acids). Later, she mentions being very "chaotic," where cleaning triggers something new, leading her to start multiple things at once. Phase 1 characteristics, though this could also be categorized under Stage 1. Within the Zingiberales, the Musaceae are placed in Subphase 1, with Canna indica in Stage 1. No other characteristics are documented for this plant. This case suggests Stage 11, holding on (her ‘privilege’ sun loving hobby’s, care giving etc) and the stiffness.
Prescription: Canna indica C12.
Follow-upAfter six weeks, she happily reports that things are going fantastically. Initially, there was still a slight rash in the sun, but after three weeks, it completely disappeared. She continues to spend long hours in the sun without any protection, as she doesn't care; it simply feels too good to be in the sun. By the end of the day, she's tired, which is unfortunate because "there’s still so much to do." Her back remains stiff, with significant tension in the sacral region, and she describes her head as "busy", there’s a lot to do in the garden, the grandchildren are coming over, and she wants to "bask in the sun." Here, we observe Phase 5 and the sacrum versus head, polarity characteristic of the Liliidae, in her choice of words as well in facts. After three months, the sun allergy returns lightly for only a week. The back only bothers her when she tries to straighten up.
