666.44.13 Xanthium spinosum, CaseMan, 40, arthritis.
He has arthritis in his hands, the small joints and the wrist. He also has pains in his other joints like shoulders and ankles. The pains are worse from cold, even more so from wet weather, and worse from exertion especially after exertion. He feels stiff in the morning. The day before the pains are worse, he feels cold and shivering as if he is getting influenza. It started 10 years earlier when he was really ill with diarrhoea and high fever. He was shivering and completely wet from sweat. Even his hairs were painful. He was delirious, talking abracadabra. That was in a tropical country where he was on honeymoon with his wife. As a child had had influenza a few times a year. At eight he had a very severe influenza with high fever and pain in his right eye. At 25 he had an inflammation of his right epididymis which was painful and an inflammation of his urethra which was painful and discharging pus.
He had a good health, likes to do sports like football. In his puberty his father suddenly became stricter with rules. It felt as injustice to him because his brother was allowed to do everything. He got into quarrels with his father about coming home late. He decided to tell nothing anymore, with the idea that what is not known cannot hurt. He kept on doing what he was doing.
He does not like big groups, he gets reserved with a fear that his voice will tremble. He is a filibuster, his freedom is very important. He has a strong aversion to do things as one should, or being imposed by others. His attitude is not to tell too much because others can attack you later with that. He is reserved which was a problem for his wife in the beginning. But he is happily married and has two children.
He can become very aggressive almost reacting on nothing. He can feel attacked when he startles or when someone is suddenly behind him and then he becomes immediately aggressive.

Aversion: salt, bitter, Brussels sprouts, chicory.
Food: < sauerkraut, beef, which aggravate the joint pains.

Xanthium spinosum MK he becomes much calmer. He feels less hurried and less easily frightened. He feels more at ease in his body which is quite uncommon for him. After a month his hands are quite good and much less swollen.
Three months later he is doing better. He has become much calmer and his irritation is much less. He did not have attacks of anger. His quality of life has risen from 65 to 80.
