A girl of almost eight years is tension at home because her parents are in the process of getting a divorce. She is sad, angry and obstinate. Mother has a new boyfriend, whom she has visited a few times. Father spontaneously takes the child with him at consultation one Saturday afternoon. The girl is clear, lively, independent, and gets a lot of space from the father, 'you can tell everything here.' As soon as she gets attention or the word ‘divorce’, she starts with her hands on her ears, almost shouting, 'No it's not fun, no, I don't want to talk about it.' Indirectly she talks about daily things, and how she is doing, as long as the word 'divorce' is not mentioned. She is very expressive and wants to become a hairdresser later. She had a dream this morning, Mom went to the bathroom and then she was gone, she couldn't find her. She screamed in her sleep but said she wasn't scared, just found it weird. Another dream was about a witch who was eating people and killing them (this turned out to be a variation of a cartoon). In that dream, she was scared, in real life, she can be afraid of cats, very scared of snakes and also worms, then she runs away fast, they are gross. Although she appears independent and precocious in development, she is still very childlike in fantasy and play, doesn't know what time of the year it is, etc. Plays a lot at home, drawing, coloring, crafting, and playing outside. Picks at her fingers, which later turn out to be warts, and once she feels comfortable and talks a lot, she has slight twitching of the eyelids. She is interested in explanations, and chatting a lot, father is used to involving the children in everything and explaining everything very concretely. She sleeps well, often talking and singing before falling asleep, with her head under the covers because otherwise, she is scared, very scared. Sometimes she swears, at her Mom, when she is not allowed on the computer. Also at school, she gets angry, and then she has 'tickles in the belly,' she then starts bullying, not listening to the teacher. Why did that happen, she don't want to tell, ‘you can guess if it's right what I say... because of the divorce? Yes, well guessed’. Difficulty with bowel movements, her whole life, and hard stools, it can be painful. She remembers once having worms and tells it vividly. Warts on the left thumb around the nail, right index finger, also right big toe. Nail biting. ‘Mom is stupid, that boyfriend, he's weird, they even kissed in bed!’ Grandpa says he's going to beat him up. She knows her mother lies, she's very sensitive to whether someone tells the truth. Always, when she starts acting up, we give her food, and a sandwich, then she immediately calms down. She is a very insecure girl. The parents: both come from foster care, the marriage went well for years, but suddenly the wife announced she was ending it. The father worry because the new partner has a dubious past with drugs and violence.
AnalysisPhase 7: the situation is lost, the divorce, also sees her dream.
Phase 2: uncertainty about how things are going, also explosive in anger (dd magnesium).
Silicon series: life-world and the problem is parents, family.
Both parents: their life and family life are colored by the adoption, here you also see the themes of Silicon series and Phase 7.
Within the above framework, the rubric 'cursing with anger' has been reviewed, it mentions Vanilla, placed in Stage 4, characterized by 'doubt about'. Clade, Phase, and Subphase match. Fits the situation of recent months, also fitting the theme of the parents and the family, all this is confirmatory. This child has heard more than she can process and had many emotions and observations, this goes beyond what fits in a safe children's world, it crosses the border (Phase 7) of an obvious family existence (as fitting Silicon series), she also asks very direct questions, doesn't avoid it.
Prescription: Vanilla planifolia C200.
Follow upAfter the medicine, she becomes calmer, and her behavior also improves. She starts playing more normally again. The years after the situation doesn’t change, but she remained calm. Her older sister received also a Phase 7 medicine.
The theme of the Orchidalis and the Vanilloideae is fitting. The description you read in WP is a multitude of possible interpretations of this theme, not a starting point or description of a case, just as the number of symptoms from the repertory is not a fitting description. The essence of a case is to be recognized in the parameters, the characteristics, as used in WP. Differentiation can be done through the Stage or a characteristic that distinguishes this plant from the other plants in this family, here found through the repertory, but also you can search in Qjure of in your own casuistry.
