Inflorescence: few-flowered cymes.
Flowers: dark purple; axillary; irregular; bracts small, linear, acute, pubescent; pedicels ± 2 cm long, densely pubescent; perianth 3 partite, segment ± 2 mm long, broadly ovate or sub orbicular, pubescent, concave, fleshy; stamens 5, 3 groups, adnate to the style, hairy anthers; pistil elongate, 4 loculed ovary, thick style column, 3 or more linear stigmas.
Fruit: capsules; ± 8 cm long; straight; obtuse; 4 gonou.
Seeds: 3 gonous, to 2 mm long, acute at both ends, deeply pitted.
