German: Eberesche; Vogelbeere.
Dutch: Lijsterbes.
Source: Wadstories 1.
Culture: Finland, being closed, couples say nothing about old love affairs; syrup from the berries, often eaten with meat; Rowan Tree Island for love couples.
MindThey have stepped into a marriage but are astonished at how it is going. They ask themselves if the relationship is all right, if there is real love. This results in doubt about the marriage, if it is a good one or not. They doubt if their husband or wife really loves them, if they have married the right person, or if they are married at all.
The reason can be that the partner is silent, does not speak about some important issues. The partner does not want to talk. They have the feeling that a real love relationship should be an open one and that love can accept everything of the other: “love is all accepting”.
