Habitat: humid forests; 100 to 1500 m elevation.
Ecology: threatened.
BotanyFern; epiphytic.
Root: rhizomes; shortly creeping; 7 to 10 mm in diameter.
Leaves: 36 to 90 cm long; spaced on the rhizome every 1 to 2 cm; once pinnate; broadly oblong; 16 to 50 cm wide; 3 to 14 pairs of pinnae.
