Realizing autonomy and real careThey want to realize autonomy and real care. But it's a struggle to find space for both. Being a mother can take so much time and effort that they have to struggle to find their independence. They see that independence is needed for real care. They work hard to show that care is essential in the world and that children and others need it to become free individuals. They know it has no effect to be full of self-pity about their mothering work because that will make them dependent. They can only work hard on their own and fight against their self-pity.
Their mother presses them to become autonomousThey can have a mother that has pressed them to become autonomous. Their mother can have felt on her own caring for her children, as not being able to follow her own life, not having a job to develop herself. And thus she pressurizes her children to have an education and a good job to be independent. But the pressure from their mother can also be a hindrance to their becoming autonomous as they have to follow their mother. It can become hard work not to be dominated by their mother. Or their mother asks them later in life to care of her when she becomes ill and handicapped. By pitying herself she demands attention from them. They feel they cannot deny their mother as she has taken care of them, but combined with their own life it's a struggle which puts their freedom in danger.
Mother works hard to achieve self-control
Their mother is often a strong person who has built up a lot and has worked hard for her autonomy and freedom. She had good insight and was clever, but had to struggle to find space for her personal and spiritual development.
Pressurized to care in the spiritual worldThey can also struggle for self-control or spiritual development. They have the idea that deep care can only be found in the spiritual world.
