Region: tropical Asia, western Indian Ocean.
BotanyShrub; slender; erect; branched; somewhat hairy; 1 to 2 m tall.
Leaves: oblong; narrowed and pointed at both ends; 4 to 10 cm long.
Inflorescence: spreading, leafy, hairy panicle.
Flowers: 2-lipped; the upper lip is white, erect, oblong or lancelike, 2-toothed at the apex, and about 3 mm long and wide; lower lip is broadly obovate, ± 12 mm long and wide, 3-lobed, white, with few, minute, brownish dots near the base; calyx is green, hairy, ± 5 mm long; corolla-tube is greenish, slender, cylindric, ± 2 cm long.
Fruit: capsule, club-shaped; contains 4 seeds.
