Habitat: full sun to partial shade; well-drained soil.
Use: screen, hedge.
BotanyWoody, broadleaf, rapid growing, evergreen shrub; ± 3 to 4 m tall and ± 3 m wide.
Stem: brown to coppery.
Leaves: green; glossy, leathery; simple; alternate; obovate, ovate; entire; hairless; 7 to 15 cm long, 3 to 8 cm wide; base cuneate, apex obtuse.
Flowers: cream, pale yellow to gold yellow; fragrant; flowering spring to summer
Fruit: brown to coppery capsule; ± 2 cm long; green turning brown 6 mm across.
