BotanyThe recently defined section is comprised of four species, all sparsly to much branched sub-shrubs with subsucculent to woody stems. Petioles semi-persistent to persistent, Flowers with five subequal petals and five (1 species) or seven (3 species) fertile stamens, hypanthium well developed, longer than or equal in length to pedicel. Lamina simple to palmately compound. Basic chromosome number, x = 10.
