Botany: perennial bulb; flowers sporadically, late summer and autumn, singly, on stems ± 15 cm high; flowers yellow, with copper tones on the outside, tepals ± 3 cm long, fused at the base to form a tube, held at a slight angle to the stem; leaves after flowering time, appearing later, narrowly linear.
