Europium has a typical duality of being self-assured and insecure. They give you the feeling that they know very well what they want and think, but there's still something missing in being really sure of themselves. This is explained by the duality of
Stage 9, which has a desire for approval, and the
Lanthanides theme of doing things themselves. So they need the approval of themselves, one could say self-approval. They do this by trying to understand things. By finding out how reality is structured they try to prove for themselves that they are right. And that will give them independence. This smart aspect is very typical in
Europium. For me, it’s now the recognition mark for
Europium. It can be expressed as clever, smart, ingenious, bold, sharp or wise. They are the wise guys, the wise guy. They always want to understand. Understanding is an aspect of all the
Lanthanides, but in
Europium understanding is the ultimate. With understanding one can control the world and oneself, and thus one will reach autonomy and be no more the victim of nature. It’s one of the typical aspects of European civilization. The labor of Hercules related to
Europium is the cleaning of the Augean stables. Hercules did it with cleverness, not with force. And he was guided by Athena, the goddess of wisdom.
AnalysisAlmost autonomous
Almost self-control
Almost self-assured
Almost self-convinced
Almost self-approved
Full control has to be realized
Almost in control: wise guy.
Approval of autonomy
Self-approval: understand
Self-fulfilling
Self-completing
Almost autonomousThey have the feeling that they have almost found their independence. They know what’s best for them. Or they want to find the solution for social problems. As they are very clever and have a good feeling and insight they often find the right solutions. But then the problem becomes how to show it to others, how to convince them.
Full control has to be realizedThey are almost autonomous, have almost complete power over their own life. But it’s not complete yet. They are not satisfied with it, as it is not fulfilled in reality yet. It still has to be proven that it works.
The same holds for their understanding. They know that they are right, that their insight is correct. But there’s still some doubt, maybe they have overlooked a minor aspect that will mean that it doesn't work out. Or maybe they are right, but they cannot convince others. Maybe their correct vision will not be acknowledged and accepted. They fear that they won’t be believed.
Full self-control has to be realizedThey have themselves almost under full self-control but it’s not complete yet. It has still to be completed, fulfilled, and realized. They understand how it can be done, but it still has to be proven for themselves and others. And it still can turn out that they were wrong. This makes them such that they are sure about themselves, but at the same time one can feel that there’s still some insecurity. They fear that they haven't seen the whole picture yet. They can also have the zeal to prove that they are right and so develop a very convincing quality.
Almost in control: wise guyThe control comes from understanding. For them that’s the way to prove for themselves that it’s right and just. That can only be done in their own mind, with their own insight. They are the smart guy, not seen so much, but discovering everything.
Knowledge becomes a means of survival. They use their knowledge as a survival strategy. They hope that when they're in trouble someone will need their knowledge and will give help in return. Or they hope that their knowledge and intelligence will offer them a way out of the problem.
AutonomyThey know that they are autonomous. But it still has to be approved, by themselves and others. They are inclined to think that they can become free by their thinking, by being clever.
ShadowThey try to conquer the shadow by analyzing it. They think that by knowing how the shadow works, it can be predicted and as such, controlled.
PowerEuropium knows he has power, but he still has doubts about it. His tactic is to be clever instead of doing things with his power.
