Stating their autonomy leads to loss of contact
They fear that if they do what they really want friends or brothers will run away from them. They don't know what it is to be themselves and still keep in contact. They fear that when they reveal themselves, their autonomy will be crushed.
Friends block them stating their autonomyIt can be that they have friends that block their autonomy. They fear that their friends will break contact when they really do state their own ideas. But they aren't sure of that either. So they are in an in-between state, fearing to exert their own will and thus not doing so. It brings them into a state of doing nothing. But that gives them the feeling of being blocked. They feel out of contact with others and themselves.
Friend are declaring their autonomyThey can also have friends that have difficulty stating their independence. Their friends can be too timid or doubting their power to take up their autonomy and do the things that they really want to do.
Declaring their independence blocks friendshipThey fear that when they declare their independence clearly, that friends will run away from them. They fear that their own freedom will be seen as an act of not taking friends into account. This will then again lead to hesitation, a feeling of not being able to move backwards or forwards. So they feel locked in.
