GenusRegion: Europe, Mediterranean, western Asia, northwestern Africa.
Habitat: sunny to semi-shaded; meadows, edges of hedgerows and woodland; by the roadside.
Culture: seen as invasive, noxious weed, due to fast-growing, through rhizomes and large quantities of seeds.
Use: considered edible, having a somewhat unpleasant flavour, sharper than garden chervil, with a hint of carrot.

Stem: hollow.
Leaves: alternate a 210 degrees; tripinnate; 15 to 30 cm long; triangular; leaflets ovate and subdivided.
Inflorescence: umbels.
