IntroductionThey are conflicted between marriage and social status. They love someone from a higher or lower class which creates problems and objections in the family. They may want a higher social status and marry someone from a higher class. This can lead to conflicts between spouses; they can doubt the intentions of their lover. Or a woman marries a man from a lower class for the money because her family has become poor. A man from lower class who has become rich can have the intention to climb the social ladder and pays a family or the father of his bride to marry. Or, the marriage becomes a rational marriage, just for political or social status.
