Root: white; fleshy.
Leaves: very dark green, fleshy, elliptic, nearly round about; 8 cm across, smooth or sandpapery.
Flowers: greenish, in corymbose racemes; buds 7 to 11 mm across.
Fruit: ellipsoid; 2 to 6 by 3 cm; obviously ridged.
