English: Black-eyed Susan.
Name: tetra means four, theke means "sac, box".
Genus: ± 46 species.
Region: south-west of Western Australia.
Habitat: lateritic gravelly soils; open woodland, heath; prefers acidic soils, sunny or part-shaded aspect.
BotanySmall shrub; erect, climbing habit; 10 to 90 cm high.
Root: woody rootstock.
Stem: multiple rough stems, hairy at their upper ends.
Leaves: green hairy; alternate, opposite or in whorls; 0.5–2.5 cm by 0.5–1 cm.
Flowers: deep pink or purple-tinted; on stalks; 3 cm long and are 2 cm in diameter; four-celled anthers.
