English: River water-crowfoot.
Name: fluitans is Latin for floating.
Region: western Europe; North Macedonia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, southern Sweden, France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and Italy.
Habitat: floating waters, fast flowing water; up to 6 m long.
BotanyPerennial water plant.
Stem: long, slender; can have up to two flower stems.
Leaves: lacking, instead it has long and narrow, tassel-like segments, up to 30 cm long.
Flowers: white; held above the water level; 2 to 3 cm across; daisy-like; 6 to 8 overlapping petals around a central yellow area; blooms in June.
Fruits: hairless.
