Names: ephemeros, meaning "living for one day and anthos, meaning "flower”.
Genus: ± 30 species.
Habitat: Sonoran Desert (< 100 mm MAP) to SE US (ca. 1500 mm), with one subaquatic species in Mexico (Ocampo 2017).
