Habitat: lithophyte, on rocky outcrops, cliffs; rocky faces in montane regions; elevations from 1600 to 2700 meters.
Ecology: critically endangered, form a small area and threats from wildfires, grazing, and human disturbance.

Stems: branches are hairless; quadrangular.
Leaves: fleshy; sessile, without a stalk; opposite; ± 4 cm long, 2 cm wide; finely toothed margins.
Inflorescence: terminal corymbose cyme, with 3 to 10 flowers.
Flowers: white petals, with red to orange tint and purple veins; ± 1 cm across.
