A 16-year-old girl, she comes across as mature, she has a strong build, but she is hesitant with a stiff and disappointed attitude. Her eyes look sad and heavy as if they are about to sink. She tells everything very directly and briefly, not so much superficially but businesslike. "I’m here for the skin and the hormones, they’re out of balance. Everything goes haywire around my period." She has acne on her jawline and cheeks, and previously, she had acne on her forehead. She’s unhappy with how she looks. She feels ashamed and doesn’t want to go out like this. It’s been going on for a year, she retains fluid before her period, has a swollen face, and is about three kilos heavier. The skin on her face is soft, full of breakouts, and she feels down. She feels gloomy because of her bad skin and feels fat. Her periods are somewhat painful, "that’s normal", her period is usually a week late, and the week before she is exhausted and gloomy. Her stomach feels very strange, and in the past few weeks, she has had watery diarrhea 1-2 times a week, with cramps and a "strong odor". She often eats unhealthily or too little, feels lightheaded and down, and doesn’t feel like doing anything, but once she starts, it’s not as bad. She can burst into tears out of nowhere, "Why is it like this now". Otherwise, she’s a very easy child, says the mother. Her tongue is clean and slightly gray, which points to poor circulation of the mucous membranes. Her immune system is good. Around her period, her hair doesn’t sit right, the curls just won’t behave. Last year, the fatigue started, and a blood test showed Pfeiffer; could only sleep day and night. She felt very sad, "it was because of a boy in the friend group, we had something, but after that, he didn’t give me any attention." She felt really bad at the time, but has since moved on, she says with a straight face and tired expression. She just finished her exams and doesn’t have much confidence in them, she didn’t feel like studying anymore. "We’ll see, it’ll be fine." She wants to study sports, and previously did martial arts because a family friend teaches it; she likes the idea of coaching and training. She thinks of herself as very clumsy, doesn’t know her strength, and can accidentally hurt people, giving too hard a hit. She can’t sit still, was always active, she plays sports and now works all week. "Being active all week is good for me", she was tired all year but just kept going, dragging herself through it. She also really wants to be with her friends, "You just go, just do it." Her sleep is always good. The pregnancy was fine, her mother calls it a very happy time. The mother suffers from PMS, and this is her second child; it’s known that the second pregnancy often shares traits with the mother, particularly in hormonal sensitivity.
AnalysisGold series: We look at the big picture and, the characteristics of her personality. She comes across as independent, and well-aware of herself and her life. Gloominess, alongside her self-image due to the breakouts, and the developmental phase of making her own choices and showing independence.
Iron series: She likes to get things done, is practical, wants to belong to her group of friends and forms relationships. The skin complaint started on the forehead, which refers to the intestines, known from the Fabales, as is "fatigue", which can be extrapolated to the Fabidae, to the whole Iron series. That’s why we look within Gold series4. Ericidae fits with "getting things done", and rolling up your sleeves.
Phase 3: The mother describes her as an "easy" child, she can adapt to circumstances, she waits, and within the theme of independence (Gold series), she is still uncertain and has to grow and choose a study.
Phase 6: The fatigue, the intestines, she finds herself ugly, clumsy, the fatigue, the relationship that didn’t continue (Phase 6) in an early stage (Phase 3),it is just a situation, but her reaction on it shows us a sensitivity for this combination. Within the family of Lysimachioideae, we find Lysimachia, Anagallis, and Cyclamen. Anagallis is known for heaviness and fatigue but pushing through, and Cyclamen for sadness and inward focus. These seem to be family traits and confirmations for selecting this plant family. The stage could be decisive. Shame is known from Chromium, Stage 6, hiding versus taking on challenges, forcing: these are characteristics in this person described in Stage 6.
Prescription: Lysimachia nummalaria C30.
Follow-upAfter a week, the skin looks better, no new spots appear, and everything is calmer. She also feels better. The last period caused no complaints, her mood remained good, and she retained less fluid, only about 1 kilo. The intestines have not changed. The energy: by the end of the day, she is exhausted, but she still goes out with her friends in the evening. The tongue is now dark in color. She has no interest in school, she’d rather work. After three months, everything is going well, the complaints are almost gone.
