Synonym: Mesebrianthemum margaretae; Argyroderma margaretae; Dinteranthus margaretae; Argyroderma roeatum.
English: Karoo rose.
Genus: 1species.
Taxonomy: closely related to Lithops, Dinteranthus, Schwantesia.
Botany: dwarf succulent; leaves two to four pairs, 2 cm long, 1 cm wide; mostly dormant, growing during spring and autumn; flowers autumn, 5 cm wide, yellow, 6 or 8 sepals, up to 100 petals, 300–500 stamens; at ± 1000 metres, white quartz plains, in crevices, red sand, loose stone, near other stone-like succulents.
Region: southern Namibia, South Africa.
