BotanyShrublets; forming rosettes; to 40 cm tall.
Stems: papillose, basally branched; 2 to 8 mm diameter.
Leaves: rosettes, lax, 3 to 7 cm in diameter, with 20 to 30 leaves; spatulate to rhombic-spatulate, elongate or rounded, weakly mucronate, ± 3 cm long, 1 to 2 cm wide, 2 to4 mm thick; pale green or reddish, somewhat glaucous.
Inflorescences: thyrses; 12 to 30 cm tall; glaucous-pruinose; with 12 to 50 flowers; axis somewhat zigzag; with 5 to 11 scorpioid branches; up to 3 secondary branches; 3 to 14 cm below the branch tips,
Flowers: 5 merous; calyx cup-shaped, ± 4 mm long, ± 4 mm wide; sepals appressed, almost free, triangular to oblong, acute, somewhat unequal, ± 3 mm long, ± 1 mm wide; corolla 16 –to 21 mm in diameter; petals triangular-lanceolate, ± 8 mm long, ± 2 mm wide; pale yellow or yellowish-white; tube campanulate, ± 3 mm long, ± 4 mmwide; lobes acute, with cardinal red stripes, ± confluent toward the tip.
