Sopor, stupor, semi-stupid, but easily aroused.
Wants to be held.
GeneralWeather: low temperature, chilly, then hot; < cold.
Food: < milk; > sips of milk.
Desire: cold air down throat; cold drinks.
Physical: < lying.
Sleep: snoring; talks in sleep, with open eyes.
BodyGeneral: profound prostration, debility; collapse; weak, exhausted vitality, vital reaction very low, restless; diathesis strumous, scrofulous, psoric, tuberculous; malignancy.
Head: sweat at edge of hair.
Eyes: dull, besotted.
Face: flushed; center of cheeks purple.
Nose: epistaxis; discharges offensive, yellow, thick; fanning of wings.
Mouth: palatine arches; parotid and cervical glands greatly swollen; discharges offensive; tongue swollen, moist, very red, little coating, tip or a dark red spot back of tip; red papillae; fetor.
Throat!!: catarrh; tonsils dark, red, swollen; tonsillitis obstinate; diphtheria painless, larynx; swallows without pain; membranes diphtheritic, thick, dark gray or brownish black; temperature low or subnormal, discharges offensive.
Lungs: catarrh; breath horribly offensive.
Heart: pulse weak, rapid.
Stomach: fluids are vomited or returned by the nose; faintness, > sips of milk.
Limbs: cold; post-diphtheric paralysis; palms dry, hot, feel withered; painless, or aching, breaking joint pains, > lying; drawing in muscles, then sudden snap; jerking of single parts; internal trembling.
Skin: dry.
