Cyproterone acetate
Name: CPA; Androcur; ethinylestradiol (EE) as Diane or Diane-35.
Use: antiandrogen and progestogen; androgen-related conditions, acne, hirsutism, excessive hair growth, early-onset puberty, prostate cancer, hormone therapy, transgender women, oral contraceptives.
CPA blocks the effects of androgens like testosterone; it has progesterone-like effects by activating the progesterone receptor (PR).
