English: Silverbush; Shrubby bindweed.
Name: cneorum is a Greek word, referring to a small olive-like plant, possibly a species of Daphne.
Region: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Albania, Tuscany, western Sicily, Capri, Li Galli.
Habitat: coastal areas, cracks in rocks; prefers an alkaline soil, full sun and good drainage; tolerates near-drought; cold hardy to −9C.
BotanyShrub; evergreen; forming a low mound 60 to 120 cm tall and wide.
Leaves: grey-green; covered in fine hairs; silvery appearance.
Inflorescence: loose panicles; almost completely cover the plants; flowering long, from spring to the summer months.
Flowers: pink buds, unfurling to white with a yellow throat; 2 to 4 cm diameter.
