Andreas BjørndalHomeopath MSc NAN MNHL, Acupuncturist, Rector of Education at the Norwegian Academy of Natural
MedicineAndreas N. Bjørndal has worked with several forms of alternative medicine since he started for approx. 40 years ago.
He established "Markveien Naturmedisinske Senter" in 1983 and worked there until he expanded his practice by founding Skarpsnoklinikken in 1993. In 2007 he expanded further by starting Lyceumklinikken - NAN at the old Sjømannsskolen in Oslo. Now he is back at Skarpsnoklinikken
Andreas continued his education as an acupuncturist, and graduated from the Norwegian Acupuncture School in 1988. He has continued his education through several 2- and 3-year continuing education courses in
Homeopathy. He has studied under established homeopaths such as Vithoulkas, Gray, Morrison, Herric and Sherr. Having helped establish a body where the leading teachers of homeopathy in the world meet regularly, he has also offered continuing education for many Norwegian homeopaths. He took a Master's degree in homeopathy from Uclan University in 2012.
Andreas Bjørndal holds a number of positions in
Homeopathy, both in Norway and internationally. He has both taken the initiative to establish and worked as chairman of the board of the Norwegian Homeopaths National Association (NHL), the European Council of Classical
Homeopathy (ECCH) and the International Council of Classical
Homeopathy (ICCH) in the period 1988-1996. For this work, he has been honored with honorary membership in the NHL in 1997. He was also a member of the Aarbakke Committee, which resulted in a NOU on alternative medicine. This has, among other things, led to Norway receiving Europe's first law for alternative therapy. He has taught in most countries in Europe and published many professional articles.
Andreas is a sought-after speaker in homeopathy at international congresses, and has also been a regular lecturer at the Norwegian Academy of Natural
Medicine since 1980. In 2000, he took over as Rector of Education at the Academy.
Here he works, in addition to his job as a homeopath at Skarpsnoklinikken, as teaching principal. Bjørndal works to build a bridge between alternative and the established medicine, as well as to ensure the quality of education in alternative medicine. He has done the latter by helping to establish ENHE, the European Network for
Homeopathy Educators.
Personal interests and researchAndreas has been involved in several studies on the practice of homeopathy. He has also performed a large number of homeopathic drug trials. He has developed several tools for a more uniform understanding of the patient's symptoms and ailments, and tools for being able to understand the prognosis and development of health and illness.
In addition to being nationally and internationally recognized in most areas related to homeopathy, Andreas is also considered a capacity in patient and student guidance as well as semiology with special specialization in archetypes, kabbalah and Egyptology. These fields are related to his main interest in how humans form words, concepts, concepts, images and symbols (semiology). For many years he has studied the roots of the perception of reality in
Western culture through Christianity and Judaism and back to ancient Greece and Egypt. He has found several common roots between different ancient cultures and is working to draw out and clarify an understanding of this that may have value for people today.
The therapist's ability to understand, comprehend and acknowledge what the patient experiences and expresses as his problem, depends on the relationship that arises between therapist and patient. Words and concepts are not only the tool used to convey our illnesses, but also our experience of different situations and our entire understanding of reality. Therefore, understanding the language behind the language, the fundamental commonalities, archetypes or universal symbols, is a great help to anyone who works with people.
