Use: medicinal; wood for violet dye; wood for internal rustic constructions, boards, boxes; fast-growing tree, pioneer restoring native woodland.
BotanyEvergreen tree; dense, narrow, elongate crown; 10 to 18 metres tall.
Stem: 60 to 80cm in diameter; corky bark; wood thick-textured, cross-grained, moderately heavy, soft, with poor mechanical properties, subject to rot.
