Case Bear
Personality and behaviour2.5 years old, blond boy, slightly chubby. Motor skillful. Has an involved, sympathetic mother. Enjoys playing with cars at the table and makes good contact. When mother told us at the end of the consultation about the death of grandma during pregnancy, he did not want to sit with us. He played behind a cupboard with cars and put them in a long row.
Medical historyEczema since 10-11 months, mostly on arms, knees and sometimes trunk. It itches, but not extremely so. Worse after showering, better with cooling ointment. Never used hormone ointment.
No specific trigger known.
BackgroundFirst child. Good pregnancy, but grandmother died at 20 weeks, which was drastic for mother. Born at 39.5 weeks with vacuum pump; umbilical cord around neck, but good start. No cramps, rapid development (motor and verbal).
Family situationMother is a nurse, father is a consultant. Mother is pregnant with second child.
Bear goes to a nursery (since 2 years), which he likes very much.
AnalysisBroken relationships, in this during pregnancy: Streptococcinum.

Follow-upAfter 7 weeks, mother informed that things were excellent. Eczema was completely gone, and he was comfortable in his skin.
